I’ve Got Your Number by Sophie Kinsella

Sophie Kinsella is one of my favourite authors - so the second I saw this book on Flipkart, I knew I had to have it. Luckily for me, Flipkart delivered the very next day and I dug right into the book after I got home from work.

I wouldn’t say the story is refreshing - in fact, I met a lot of characters who seemed vaguely familiar to stereotypical Kinsella characters in terms of their personalities, idiosyncrasies etc. However, the author still retains her hold over the Chic Lit Queen title when it comes to weaving an endearing, fun, romantic story. For first-time readers, or those of you who are Kinsella fans, like me, the book is worth reading if you’re in the mood to curl up with a nice, feel-good book. However I should say that for those who’ve sampled Kinsella’s writing already and weren’t too taken with it, you’re not really missing out on anything unique.

I will remember your small room, the feel of you, the light in the window, your records, your books, our morning coffee, our noons, our nights, our bodies spilled together, sleeping, the tiny flowing currents, immediate and forever. Your leg, my leg, your arm, my arm, your smile and the warmth of you who made me laugh again.
